Park Rules of Conduct

 

All members are asked to respect the rules of conduct listed below as well as all signs that are posted in the park or on the gates. Please be kind and respectful to other members and their guests. For the protection of our park and our members, our parks are under 24-hour surveillance. Park hours are 5 am to 12 am.

  • Members are responsible for the conduct of their family members, guest and/or renters. Their violation is your responsibility/violation.
  • Gate key cards are for member and guest use only. Members are not allowed to sell or lend their swipe card to anyone. Cards are not
    transferrable to another owner in Key Largo Village or to a new owner of your property.
  • Rental of the pavilion/beach is required if you are planning a function that includes ten (10) or more guests. All large parties must
    have board approval. You can download the form on our Facebook page, or you may contact klvinfo@aol.com.
  • No charcoal or gas grills under pavilion, on pavilion pavers, under tiki, or on docks. No dumping of charcoal in the sand/water.
  • Bicycles, golf carts, skateboards, scooters, or skates are not allowed in the pavilion, tiki or on docks and are restricted to the
    parking areas only.
  • Pets are NOT allowed in the parks and or/beach, only Service Dogs are allowed into the parks. An Emotional Support Animal is not
    considered a service animal under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and are not allowed in the parks.
  • Children 13 and under must always have adult supervision.
  • No Nudity Allowed
  • Swim at your own risk. No Diving or horseplay in beach area.
  • Park closed from 12 am – 5 am, boat ramps are open 24 hours. Ramps are open for only those that are putting in or taking out
    their boats. No one is allowed on the beach, pavilion, or tiki areas.
  • Boat ramps can be used 24 hrs a day/7 day a week.
  • No Loud music in parks. Respect your neighbors. 
  • Personal property including pop ups, awning, chairs, and tables must be removed by the end of each day. 
  • No Fireworks allowed in the parks/beach. (Illegality  Violation/Fine) 
  • No Fishing in Swimming Area. No fish or bait on picnic tables. No fish cleaning on the docks/pier and no dumping of fish carcasses off
    the dock or in trash cans. (Warning/Violation/Fine)
  • No PWC/Canoes/Kayaks/Paddleboards in the swimming area. (Violation/Fine) 
  • Boat and PWC launching/removal from ramps only. (Violation/Fine)
  • Boat docking temporary/1 hour limit at East Park, West Park is for loading and unloading only. Tying off to 4X4 post on tiki dock at East Park and Anchoring in the beach/sand at West Park is not allowed, and NO overnight docking allowed. (Violation/Fine/Towing)
  • Parking of vehicles / trailers over 24 hours is not permitted. (Violation/Fine/Towing)
  • No Parking of Vehicles/Golf carts in the No Parking area/Turnaround zone/Dock rocks. (Violation/Fine/Towing)
  • If your vehicle or boat damages any park property, please email klvinfo@aol.com your insurance information, within 24 hours.

    Violations of any of the rules can result in a fine and temporary/permanent suspension of your membership and swipe card deactivation.

    RULES VIOLATIONS

  • 1st Offense: Warning/No Suspension
  • 2nd Offense: Suspension/Deactivation, $150 Fine/30 days
  • Reported Property Damage: No Imposed Fine/Suspension/Deactivation if paid within 15 days of receiving mailing, 30
    Days/$150 Fine/Damages
  • Unauthorized Vehicle /Golf Cart Parking: Suspension/Deactivation, 30 Days /$150 Fine/Tow cost.
  • Unauthorized Boat/PWC Launching/Docking/Removal: Suspension/Deactivation, 30 Days /$150 Fine/Tow cost.
  • Unauthorized Parking/Boat Docking : Suspension/Deactivation, 30 Days /$150 Fine/Tow cost.
  • Overnight docking between 6pm-6am Suspension/Deactivation, 30 Days /$500 Fine/Tow cost.
  • Unreported Property Damage, Vandalism or Tampering with Park Property: Suspension / Deactivation 30-day, $150 fine,
    reimburse repair cost of not less than $150 and/or actual billed amount.
  • Illegality: Indefinite Suspension/Deactivation / $500 fine.


Members mailed a Violation Letter must pay a $10 mailing fee. All offenses except warnings will require a key card reactivation fee of $25. These Rules, Regulations and Penalties may be amended, altered, repealed, or added to by the Board of Directors and/or the General Membership at the general membership meeting in January. All board votes are by a majority and approval by members requires a two/thirds majority of the members present.
